NEW FRIDAY FESTIVITIES + CAMPING AVAILABLE!
It's very rare to be able to camp in Joe Rowell Park in Dolores, but our permits were approved and we wanted to share the good news! So we decided to move packet pickup to Joe Rowell Park on Friday, add camping options there along with Live Music, a Kids Bike Rodeo, Kids Bike Giveaways and an Ice Cream Eating Contest all on Friday!

PACKET PICK UP FRIDAY: New location is at Joe Rowell Park on Friday 5pm - 7pm (the park with the baseball diamonds) at the Pavilion near the playground.

MUSIC: We will have live music in the Pavilion at Joe Rowell Park on Friday from 5pm - 7pm during packet pick up. Hang out, and get in on the other festivities!

CAMPING: in Joe Rowell Park available Friday August 1st and/or Saturday August 2nd

$25 per tent per night or $45 per RV per night (no hookups).

Tents will be stationed around the pavilion in Joe Rowell Park, and RV's will take the 1st or 2nd parking lot.

Porta Johns will be nearby, there is a park restroom as well.

You can reserve camping/RV passes by:

  • Adding camping/RV passes when you register for the race on BikeReg.com
  • Texting the Race Director at (970)426-9902 to add camping/RV to your existing race registration
  • Sign up during packet pickup on Friday

FRIDAY ROTARY KIDS BIKE RODEO - Friday, August 1st from 4:30pm - 6:30pm at Joe Rowell Park (new location)

We will take over one of the softball fields with a kids bicycle obstacle course complete with ramps, agility cones, and speed radar area. There will be sections for kids at every level and volunteers to help spot on the bigger obstacles. Open to all kids that show, no need to be registered in the race.

BIKE HELMET GIVEAWAY: We will be giving away free bike helmets to the first 100 kids that want one (we usually see around 150-180 kids). Open to all kids that show, no need to be registered in the race.

BIKE TUNE UP TENT: There will be a Bike Tune-up tent run by Kokopelli Bike & Board and volunteers.

KIDS BIKE GIVEAWAY: After 6:30pm, we will be giving away 25+ bikes to kids (kids will each get 1 ticket to add to the bin of the bike they wish to try to win). Open to all kids that show, no need to be registered in the race.

ICE CREAM EATING CONTEST Friday around 7pm (kids first, then adults) around the pavilion in Joe Rowell Park. Open to all.
All of these festivities and all the Dolores Rotary Club does throughout the year are made possible by your race registrations, which we use to give back to the community and support the next generation of bike racers and leaders.

The Dolores Rotary Club also gives out food boxes every month, we support many school groups and non-profits, we run the Angel Tree gift giving program, we put up and maintain the Christmas lights and hillside lights in Dolores, we work with Cortez club members on art projects, we give out student scholarships, and we send 4-6 students each year to Rotary Leadership Youth Camp.
Join our club. Make a difference. We believe in Service Above Self. We currently meet most Tuesdays at the Dolores Public Library at 7:30am. If you can't race, then volunteer to help us on the course!
